Ecological education

We are certified by the “Ökoprofit for Schools” project and educate our students to behave in an environmentally friendly manner. Ecological topics are increasingly discussed in lessons at the Johann Peter Ring primary school. We are an environmental school in Europe and want to live nature conservation in our school. To this end, we have implemented various projects in everyday school life, which the children develop in class and are sometimes also accompanied by external specialists. The landscape conservation association, the Federal Nature Conservation Association, the University of Freiburg and the local beekeeping association have already supported us in our projects.

We have already created a flowering meadow on our school grounds with the children. Children observe the animals in insect hotels, also take care of our pond maintenance, save CO2 on the way to school, separate waste correctly, avoid plastic and use environmental protection paper whenever possible.

We have been an environmental school in Europe since 2020.
